We’re thrilled to confirm work on our new kitchen starts this Monday, September 23. It’s exciting times at The Greyhound, and we can’t wait to bring you our new menus along with the old classics you know and love.
While the pub and our present kitchen will be open as normal when the builders are in, unfortunately, the car park will be closed to customers until they finish.
However, we’d like to reassure you that there are plenty of parking choices nearby. During the day, there are two-hour maximum stay spaces in Ivry Street and further along Anglesea Road. We’d also recommend the new Crown Street multi-storey car park, which is just five minutes’ walk away.
After 6 pm, of course, you can park in Anglesea Road and other nearby residential streets for as long as you wish.
The outside tables behind the pub will also be unavailable – you probably wouldn’t want to sit in the middle of a building site anyway. But we will be placing tables down the side and in front of the pub over the weekends.
The go-ahead for our new kitchen facilities has been a long time in the making, and we can’t wait to get going.
For those of you familiar with the car park area, we’ll be building the kitchen where some of the brick storage rooms are now.
It’s a welcome relief for our chef, Brian and his team. They do an amazing job in cramped conditions currently and can’t wait to get started in their new surroundings.
We’ll update you here as work progresses. Cheers!
